Sunrise over Carlaveyron - Chamonix Mont-Blanc
Sunrise over Mont-Blanc in the Carlaveyron nature reserve. Finished camping today (August 4) next to a little lake near the Bellachat pass. The night had been extremely clear, with a Voie Lactée grandiose hovering above the peak of the Roof of Europe. The sun has already been up for twenty minutes, and the mountain peaks, from the Goûter Needle on the right to the summit of Midi in the center of the image, along with the three peaks of Mont-Blanc, are lit up in the morning light. At this hour of the morning, at an altitude of 2200 meters, there is not a breath of air, and the image of the mountain on the surface of the lake is identical to its original. On the left, the Green Needle glows, while the shadows cast by the sunlight betray the presence of the Chardonnet and the Needle of the Argentière.
