Orion at Cosmiques - Chamonix Mont-Blanc
At the Cosmiques refuge (3,613 m) in the Mont Blanc massif, the night has settled. Towards the west, the valley lights illuminate the glaciers, and the constellation Orion is about to disappear on the horizon. The Orion nebula is still clearly visible, with its characteristic pink colour. On the right, the V of the Taurus constellation head encloses the bright Aldebaran. Further to the right, the jewel case of the Pleiades open cluster spreads at the limit of the cirrus.
