Full Moon on the Auxois - Châteauneuf - Côte d'Or
Guarding the southern tip of the Auxois, in Burgundy, Château de Châteauneuf dominates the plain from its rocky promontory at an altitude of 475m. This 12th century military fortress, which controlled the road from Dijon to Autun, was completed in the 15th century by Philippe Pot, the great seneschal of Burgundy. Its silhouette stands out here at twilight, accompanied by the golden glow of the full moon that has just risen.
