Tribute to Thomas Pesquet - Opus 26
Passage of the ISS with Thomas Pesquet over Annecy lake on Friday, May 26, 2017.
To capture the passage of the International Space Station I chose to set up my tripod at the summit of the Pointe de Velan (1783m), at the end of Lake Annecy. After setting up camp, the space vessel reached its apogee well over Lake Annecy; in the photo, the two components of the vessel are easily visible, seen just before crossing the Milky Way and disappearing to the right of Mont Charvin. The high humidity this evening diffuses the city lights, including those of Faverges below the Cross of Velan.
