Tribute to Thomas Pesquet - Opus 14
Passage of the ISS with Thomas Pesquet over Lake Annecy on Sunday, February 12, 2017.
That day, the International Space Station passed almost vertically over Lake Annecy. Set up at the Col de la Forclaz (1150m), one of the most beautiful views over the lake, I saw the ISS appear on the horizon while it was actually in flight over Normandy. In the axis of the snowy ramp of the delta plane launch site in the foreground, Thomas Pesquet's vessel climbed up into the twilight sky. On the left, the brilliant Venus salutes its passage, accompanied by the more discreet dot of the planet Mars.
