Tribute to Thomas Pesquet - Opus 3
Passage of the ISS with Thomas Pesquet over Annecy on Thursday, December 8, 2016. This time I chose a view of Annecy from the belvedere of the Pas de l'Echelle at the bottom of the Semnoz. Despite the cirrus clouds blocking the sky, the ISS was easily visible, reaching its apex point at 37°, just beneath the stars of Pherkad and Kochab in Ursa Minor. Note the position of the Big Dipper of Ursa Major just above the city.
