The day after the Mars full moon, the celestial body rises behind Mont Veyrier, overlooking Lake Annecy. The brilliance of Selene allows only the bright star Acturus in the Bouvier constellation to be seen, visible here at the left of the summit. The Imperial Palace shines with a thousand lights in its green setting, and the beach piers await fair weather days to welcome summer bathers.
