2022 - Spain - Total lunar eclipse - Tenerife
After having bivouacked in the caldera of the Teide volcano at 2060m of altitude, it is at 3h27 that I began the observation of the partial phase of the eclipse. Our natural satellite entered in the shadow of the Earth, before being completely hidden from 4:27 am for 84 minutes of totality (the refractions of the solar rays on the Earth atmosphere gave a red color to the eclipsed Moon). While the full moon irradiated the sky 2 hours before, it was the dark night that revealed a majestic Milky Way, with Selene that passed over the 3817m of Teide, the highest peak of the Canaries and Spain. A magical moment and the most beautiful lunar eclipse experienced to date.
