Viewed from the Cosmiques refuge (3,613 m) in the Mont Blanc massif, the three stars of the Orion constellation belt are perfectly identifiable. Sirius, the brightest star in the sky, sits above the Aiguille du Goûter, accompanied much higher by Procyon, and the Milky Way between them. The Mont Blanc du Tacul (4,248 m) dominates the whole group, while 2,600 m below, the lights of Les Houches outline the valley. Further, Megève and Sallanches are also glimmering in front of the chain of Aravis.
