The February full moon is known as the Snowy Full Moon. I captured its rise behind the Tournette (2351m) seen from the summit of the Semnoz on Friday, February 10, 2017. I had calculated the exact spot from which to take the photo so that the Moon would be centered over the Armchair (the name of the Tournette), but a cablecar blocked the view. I had to move over about fifty meters, but the result was fine! The sky, colored pink thanks to the Belt of Venus, created a majestic painting from the moonrise. Several hours later, the Moon disappeared in the penumbra of the Earth.
