Tribute to Thomas Pesquet - Opus 21
Passage of the ISS with Thomas Pesquet over Les Baux de Provence on Saturday, april 15, 2017.
I captured the flight of the French astronaut with the magnificent village of Baux de Provence as décor. At the hour of nautical twilight (the Sun at -12° beneath the horizon), the ISS passed through the constellation of Orion, whose three stars in the shape of a belt we see in the image. Following its course, it passes beneath the brightest star in the sky, Sirius, in the constellation of the Great Dog, before disappearing in the shadow of the Earth below the lights of the Martigues.
