Low-water mark on Laudon - St Jorioz
Nautical twilight in St. Jorioz next to Lake Annecy at the mouth of Laudon. Due to the lack of precipitation since July 2016, the water level of the lake has fallen significantly. This low-tide phenomenon translates to the ability to walk on parts of the lake normally covered by water. Around St. Jorioz, alluvial deposits at the mouth of the Laudon form two spectacular arcs that rejoin one another a dozen meters from the bank. The surface of the water within is mirror-like, reflecting the mountains of the lake's Eastern bank and several stars in the twilight.
