Illuminated by an almost full moon, the landscape above the Aravis pass is reflected in a small mountain pasture lake. The fir forest partly masks the Aravis peak (2325m), which the star Capella from the constellation of the Coachman adjoins on its right. Further to the right, the cluster of stars of the Pleiades has just risen.
