Nightly colours at Zabriskie Point (bis) - California

Zabriskie Point affords a magnificent view of Death Valley California. In the foreground, the eroded and coloured rocks form a pictorial landscape. Behind these millennial formations, Death Valley is the lowest point in the United States (0 – 89 m), and the peaks on the horizon exceed 3,000 m. The Milky Way provides the last touch to this delicately painted panorama subtly illumined by a just-risen quarter moon.
