Multiple exposure of the total solar eclipse of July 2, 2019 in Chile. A clear sky was scheduled for this day of the eclipse. Based in the seaside resort of La Serena, I climbed to an altitude of 1500m to escape possible coastal fogs and enjoy the pure sky of the Andes Cordillera. Rather low on the horizon at the time of the totality (13°), the eclipse offered a magnificent picture, with a cone of shadow turning from dark blue to orange glow on each side of the horizon. Not being exactly on the middle of the centrality, this cone was shifted to the left. A rather bright eclipse, (compared to the United States 2 years ago), but with a palette of colors never seen before.
