In the heart of the Salar d'Atacama, at an altitude of 2500m, the sky is so dry and pure that the sky is full of stars and the Milky Way reveals its most beautiful facets. While the classic formations are clearly visible here (Sagittarius, Centaur and its globular cluster, Crux, Carina, the Great and Small Magellanic Clouds), others only appear in certain privileged places on the planet such as here. This is the case of the Dark Horse Nebula, in the constellation of Ophiucus, a dark nebula that hides the stars in the background of the Galaxy. Perfectly visible under the brilliant Jupiter, it runs upside down because we are in the southern hemisphere!
