The silhouette of the Cosmiques refuge (3,613 m) in the Mont Blanc massif is etched against the backdrop of the Milky Way. On its right, the Mont Blanc du Tacul (4,248 m) towers impressively, with Jupiter and Spica further away, right above the Dome du Goûter (4,304 m). Groups of climbers, departed from the refuge of Grands Mulets (on the rocky outcrop at the bottom right of the image), begin the ascent of Mont Blanc.
