Comet C/2020 F3 Neowise, discovered on March 27, 2020, passed closest to the Sun on July 3. It was visible in the morning sky from July 4, and then in the evening sky from July 12. A few days later it became circumpolar, visible all night on the northern horizon before disappearing. It was the most beautiful visible comet in the Northern Hemisphere since Hale-Bopp in 1997.
