Orion vs light pollution - Passy Mont-Blanc
In February, the constellation Orion dominates the sky with its characteristic shape. It is accompanied further down on its left by the brightest star in the sky, Sirius of the Dog Star. This giant, whose blue color is diffused by high-altitude cirrus clouds, sails along the edge of the winter Milky Way. But these brilliant celestial figures are unfortunately outshone by the light pollution of Chamonix, Servoz, Passy and Saint-Gervais.
