Summer observer in the Chéserys - Chamonix Mont-Blanc
This panorama was taken on summer, next to the lake above Chéserys, at an altitude of 2271 meters, in the Red Needles mountains. The observer contemplates the Milky Way above the Mont-Blanc. On the left, the constellation of Sagittarius is teeming with nebulas and star clusters, as is the Lagoon Nebula above (pink) and the M7, seen just above the Aiguille du Plan. On the right of the debonair Mont-Blanc one can see the Goûter dome, crowned above by the star Antares and, higher up, by the planet Saturn, while the red planet Mars reclines proudly on its throne to the right of the observer.
