Rare are the villages where light pollution is very low. This is the case of Le Poët Laval, in the Drôme provençale, which switches off its lights in the second part of the night. Inside the ramparts of this 12th century fortified city, the unobstructed view to the south shows a magnificent Milky Way. Our Galaxy is here accompanied by the planet Jupiter, bright on its right, and Saturn on its left.
