nder the Ain sky - Perouges - Ain
Near Lyon, the medieval village of Pérouges sits atop a strategic hill between the Dombes region and the Ain plain. Its central square is dominated by a liberty lime tree, planted in 1792, which leads to narrow streets paved with round pebbles. Once part of the Dauphiné region, then attached to the House of Savoy, Perouges became part of France when it was annexed in 1860. Illuminated by the moon, the sky retains its midnight-blue hue, streaked by a beautiful circumpolar sky.
