Reflection of Orion - Lac Genin - Ain
Small mountain lake located in a clearing surrounded by fir trees at 830m altitude, Lake Genin is nicknamed "the Little Canada of Haut-Bugey". Very popular during the day, it is at nightfall that the silence envelops this Jura jewel case. The sky then reveals its splendors, as here in spring the constellation of Orion and Sirius, the brightest star in the sky in the Grand Chien. Their reflections in the water distinguish them from other stars. During the 30 minutes pose, two meteors streak the celestial vault, underlined by the passage of the International Space Station.
