Located at altitude at the western entrance to the Cévennes, Château de Portes seems ready to take to the sea with its crest reminiscent of a ship's bow. During the photographic pose of over an hour, the stars draw a vortex aimed at the North due to the Earth rotation. Dawn finally arises and the Cévennes ship gradually takes in the light of the dawning day.
