The oratory St Roch, framed by its two trees, dominates from its small hill the plateau des Bornes in Menthonnex-en-Bornes. The view over Annecy and the Pre-Alps is magnificent. At dusk, which still gives the sky its blue colour, the one-hour photo pose shows the rotation of the Earth around its axis pointing towards the North Star.
