The Parmelan giants - Villaz
6 hours after seeing the planets Mercury and Venus go down at twilight, the couple of giant planets Saturn and Jupiter rise behind the Head of Parmelan, illuminated by Annecy's agglomeration. The Milky Way presents its best profile in a very clear sky, with the giant red star Antares on its right in the constellation of Scorpio. On the right edge of the image, another red giant shines, Arcturus from Bouvier. At the end of May 2020, Jupiter is getting closer and closer to Saturn. It will cross the planet's rings on December 21, 2020, an exceptional phenomenon that occurs only every 20 years.
