2009 - China - Hangzhou - Total solar eclipse
The eclipse of July 22, 2009 was the longest of the 21st century, lasting 6 minutes and 38 seconds off Japan. It is in Hangzhou, China, that I settled at the edge of the lake to observe it. It lasts here 5 minutes and 21 seconds. An eternity for a total eclipse!
The atmosphere is spectacular, despite the heat wave (40°), the humidity of the monsoon and the pollution of the city which practically erases the visibility of the crown and the quality of the photo!
