Jupiter and Vega at Cosmiques - Chamonix Mont-Blanc
In the middle of this early spring night, the Cosmiques refuge (3,613 m) provides a magnificent balcony on the Grandes Jorasses and the Dent du Géant. The planet Jupiter, accompanied by the star Spica from the Virgin constellation, sits on the right of the image. The bright Vega rising above the refuge offers its characteristic blue colour, an indicator of its 20,000 C° surface temperature.
