A quarter moon for the abbey - La Flotte-en-Ré - Charente-Maritime

Floodlights are lit at dusk in the Abbey of Châteliers on the Ile de Ré, gilding the walls of this 12th century ruin. Founded in 1156, the remains of this abbey bear witness to the power of the Cistercian monks on the island for more than 300 years. A quarter moon plays hide-and-seek with the openings of the majestic ruin.
